I LOVE YOUR MUSIC MEANS, I'M READY TO SPEND ON YOUR MUSIC.
💔
By - Jonathan Ngoma
Everytime you tell Tbwoy, Wezi, Shyman, Pompi, T-Sean, Chef187, Slap Dee or any other artist that you love their music.. they feel happy.. to them they see an album sold, they see a ticket for an upcoming show sold.. in a week they will meet hundreds of people saying the same...but our words don't match the economic value we as the citizenry add to our artists.
The only time they see us come in numbers are during moments like this. Alubusu, Joe Chibangu, P-Jay, Jordan Impi, Lily T have had this path.
Sometimes Jae Cash will post an advert about his upcoming event.. you will not understand the joy it brings just to see you share the post on your wall.. the joy it brings to then just to see your face at their show mu audience. That's how they make a living so your support is never taken for granted.
If we said lets fill up the stadium for DAEV even when we love him this much we can't fill up a single wing for him at woodlands stadium.. and yet we saying he was one of the most talented, he had a great future.. forgetting that we are part of his future , we have a role for the future of arts and music in Zambia as a whole.
No one will uplift this industry but us.. People be like he was driving a Vitz with a take me home. But you have never even paid a single coin for his show...If you want these guys to have accidents in Jaguars, Ferrari's, bentleys if that's what will be considered pleasing. its you and me to build them.. they are our assets.. they represent us.
Sometimes they sale simple TShirts K120. Just buy, support them.. help them grow that's what it means by "I LOVE YOUR MUSIC"
We all talking about "NEVER BEEN EASY" because we have not given an ear to what your home made celebrity had on him.. "Ma Years by Chef187 wouldn't have been a big song without DAEV, when SLAP Dee did LITUATION with Patoranking i said "you see these all 2 heavyweights on this track SLAP and Patoranking. But i think DAEV is standing out on this song.. the hook is just great"
Casper Nyovest is who he is because of South Africans, Diamond is who he is because of Tanzanians, Davido and Wizkid are what they are because of Nigerians they have made them big.. we have not made anyone big on our own.. why?
Mobile companies and many other corporate entities around africa are putting alot of money in the music industry through partnerships and endorsements.. this happens for very few individuals here.. with very little to take home.
It's painful that we never got to get even 30%of what this soul would have delivered to us. I just wish we support this industry whole heartedly.
The Industry has lost a MOST PROMISING artist of our time, his gates to success in the industry were so wide clear and open. At the end of the day we can't question God.. He does everything at His own time. My Heartfelt condolences to his family.. the UNITED XYZ team and fans all over the world.
Lets support Zambian lets show them real love.
R.I.P DAEV.
