SAXSA KHAI LET'S GET TO KNOW SAXSA KHAI Bio: Saxsa Khai Lusaka based vocalist, songwriter, composer, arranger and producer. Saxsa Khai (pronounced Sazjah) is fun, deep, quirky, Afri-centric and full of wonder and her music is a merge of this persona, almost genre-less. When asked why she sings in local language, Saxsa Khai says “her music serves to embrace all Zambian and by extension African cultures thus creating the neo-afro-fusion needed to communicate as one.” Saxsa Khai’s belief is that language is not a barrier in music as “music” itself is a language of its’ own that’s proven to work for the ages, and neo-afro-fusion music is the way to do it. After hearing her golden voice, you may be wondering where you have heard her before? Well she has been the lead singer of “Afro-RED” an amazing live jazz outfit since 2012, and was 2018’s second runner -up in the Mosi Thunderbeats competition where she debuted her single “Andicaale.” She is the voice you always heard but never knew you needed, welcome to her world of mysitique as you are entranced by her sound.
