Lil Wayne has scarcely been MIA from the music scene in 2020, dropping his thirteenth studio collection Funeral in January. The collection, which hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200 outline on Feb. 14, was recognizably missing on the 2021 Grammy assignments list.
While the collection got a gesture for best account bundle, it didn't get a solitary selection in the general or rap classifications.
The rapper took to Twitter on Sunday (Dec. 20) to share his musings on the scorn, expressing, "As an artist, when I see da Grammys coming up and I'm not invited or nominated; I wonder. Is it me, my musik, or simply one more detail?" he considered. "I check out w regard and marvel seriously am I not commendable?! At that point I glance around and see 5 Grammys looking back at me and I go to the studio."
Weezy recently won best rap solo execution for "A Milli," best rap tune for "Candy," best rap execution by a team or group for his "Swagga Like Us" collab and best rap collection for Tha Carter III in 2008. He later brought home the Grammy for best rap execution for "No Problem" in 2016.
The rapper isn't the first to communicate disillusionment in the 2021 Grammys list. Both The Weeknd and Ellie Goulding, who delivered collections this year, shared their dissatisfaction toward the Recording Academy
